It's Sister Saturday and An Easter Link Up!

Welcome to the first ever Easter Edition of

We are so excited to have you join us!
Now, if you came over for Inspiration Friday no worries it's still going on one post below!  You can link up your inspiring posts through the weekend.  However if you have an Easter or Spring post you'd like to share then Sister Saturday is for you!

Sister Saturday was created as a way for the two of us to share holidays together from across the miles, and we invite you to join us! You are invited for a little peek into our homes each holiday, and than we want you to share your Easter Inspired Posts with us!

We have been so amazed at all of the fabulous Easter and Spring Inspiration you have been sharing with us over the last few weeks!  We wanted to feature some of the projects, crafts and recipes you've shared at Inspiration Friday, as well as our versions of a few of them!

Spring is in the air in Kentucky!

My flowers are blooming!

which makes me very happy! Spring has arrived, and Easter is right around the corner!

I have Easter decor I pull out each year in honor of this special Holiday, but I thought it would be fun to try our hand at a couple of the awesome projects I've seen linked up to Inspiration Friday.

When I saw Lauren from My Wonderfully Made's Twine Eggs, I knew I had to make some to put in one of my apothecary jars on my new buffet.

My Wonderfully Made's Twine Eggs

I thought it would be a perfect craft for the girl and her friend to make together.

The hot glue was a little messy, but I think they had fun!

Aren't they cute?!  I just love how natural and earthy they look.  Here is one of my favorite Easter decorations.  I put it out every year in honor of my husbands childhood.

How precious is this!  My husband has had it since he was a little boy living in Germany.  Can you get more vintage? Not my husband, the egg...okay so he may be getting a little vintage too...but vintage like a good wine. ;)  I LOVE this little egg of his!

Here's my new buffet dressed for Easter.

The next Easter project was shared with us several weeks ago by Kristi of I Should Be Mopping The Floor and I knew as soon as i saw it, that I would be making this one!

I Should Be Mopping The Floor Easter Egg Garland

This project truly couldn't have been easier.  It would be a great one to do with little ones and you can choose any color scheme that suits your fancy.

I used supplies I had on hand, so it didn't cost me anything...my kind of craft!

Thanks for visiting a small corner of my home this Easter...oh wait you want to see more?  Okay you asked for it...

Welcome to my kitchen painting nightmare.  Please promise me there is an end in sight? grin.

Thanks for visiting my home in the rolling hills of the Bluegrass State...time to head on over to Vanessa's beautiful Northwest home.

Welcome to the West Coast!

Hi there! The rain may be falling...and falling...and falling here in Oregon but I haven't let it dampen my excitement over the arrival of Spring to our home.
Come on in, won't you?

The cross has been hung in the middle of my forsythia wreath so that all who enter our home will know why we celebrate Easter.

Eggs have been tucked into the my Spring Dining Room centerpiece.

And, I've even been inspired to knock-off lovingly recreate a tasty treat that was shared at last week's Inspiration Friday!

As soon as I saw these "Easy Peasy Bunny Cookies" from Sue at Munchkin Munchies

I knew they would be the perfect thing to make with my own munchkins.

Of course, my little munchkins decided they really, really did not want mommy trying to make the cookies look too perfect so I only managed to (somewhat) salvage one bunny. The rest ended up looking like "Deranged Easter Bunnies" or Grumpy Kitty Cats!

So, let's just say that my bunnies are the
"long-lost-backwoods-distant-cousins" of Sue's darling bunnies. OK?

Seriously! If that isn't a "one of these things is not like the other" photo than I don't know what is!

I also plan to try my hand at these EggMallow Treats from Landee See, Landee Do.

I'm not holding my breath that mine will look like this.

But, as I will be taking them to my son's class for his Easter Party, I imagine they won't last long enough to be admired for their beauty!

Here are a few more incredible projects you've shared with us:

I have forsythia blooming in my yard- guess I could go out and clip a branch, huh? Wait- it's pouring down rain and the blooms are probably all spent! LOL- guess I'll have to fabricate one of my own! Glad I could join the party- even with a re-post. hugs, Sue

  14. I find it so impossible to think up really great Easter crafts. I was trying and trying this year to think of a craft that I love AND that reflects the whole meaning of Easter...but I have given myself a fail on that score. Hmmmph. Probably not helped by being v. short on time as it's out Easter holidays over here.

    Still...there's always next year, right?

THANK YOU again for featuring me and for your lovely sidebar button!
