Miss Mustard Seed Inspired Giveaway…from Petticoat Junktion

We are all about inspiration here At The Picket Fence and there’s hardly a more inspiring story for bloggers than the story of Miran aka Miss Mustard Seed!

Not only is she an inspiring blogger, inspiring creator, and inspiring entrepreneur..but now she is an inspiring writer!

While I was familiar with Mirian’s lovely blog and furniture pieces I had never personally tried her new Milk Paint Product nor read her new book.  That is until our talented sponsor, blogger and Miss Mustard Seed  Milk Paint distributor,  Kathy of Petticoat Junktion,

introduced me to the product and sent me a copy of …she was right on both counts!

Trust me when I say Kathy knows from which she speaks! With gorgeous MMSMP projects like this:

Painted Cabinet using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Mustard Seed Yellow, Petticoat Junktion

and this:

Painted cabinet using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Tricycle, Petticoat Junktion

and one of my favorite this piece:

painted furniture using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint, Petticoat Junktion

and as a distributor of this Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint product…

She knows her Milk Paint!

When I opened Mirian’s book, I immediately became drawn in by her gentle writing, warm humor and reminders that we all can create inspiring places! Even as a seasoned home decor blogger and DIYer myself, I learned so much about how to find beautiful pieces to upcycle, how to decorate a lovely space on a dime and how beauty can be found in the simplest places.

It’s hard not to feel like you are sitting with Mirian having a cup of coffee in her beautiful dining room that we’ve all come to know and love.

So, we felt that YOU needed to have a chance to read Inspired You and receive some inspiration yourself!

Kathy has generously offered copy of to ONE reader of At The Picket Fence!

Consider it a little early Christmas present from Kathy and ourselves…to YOU! A moment to relax during this busy season and remind yourself to find the beauty around you!

I love, love the color Kitchen Scale! It would be perfect on a shelf I’d like to do for my guest bathroom. It’s in our shed right now, just waiting for a “face lift!” Oh, and I “liked” her page on FB and am now following her on Pinterest too! Excited to explore her projects and ideas!

I actually love all of the colors and have many projects stored in our garage I need to get to. I love the Tricycle, Mustard Seed Yellow and Lucketts Green–I can see them on my TV Buffet, my Mother’s table, and my old sewing machine table…

I can’t decide-lucketts green or boxwood or shutter gray. I have a couple of accent tables I’d like to try the shutter gray on.

Hi Heather & Vanessa. I like the Ironstone for a project I’m redoing. It’s an old T.V./Sterio cabinet with a bow front and the most fabulous legs. Really a unique piece that screams for chalkpaint. This would be my first time using it.

Thanks for a wonderful giveaway & Merry Christmas…

Hi Ladies! I had a blast going through past posts at Petticoat Junktion; so much so I forgot to look at all the paint samples. On my return trip I decided I like Linen. I have the perfect $10.00 desk to use it on. I’m following her on Facebook and Pinterest now and happy to be doing so! jules

I have been wanting to use milk paint but I must admit I’m truly scared I will mess it up. I have a piece of furniture in my home that would look great painted another color like yellow, or blue or even green. I need to over my fear first. lol. Thanks so much for the chance. I am following you on Facebook under Jessabells creates.
