Hello friends! How was your Christmas? I hope you all had a joyous time celebrating! Today I’m welcoming Julie from Redhead Can Decorate to the picket fence to share with us some amazing New Year’s Eve Appetizers that will help you say goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018!

Happy New Year, from redheadcandecorate.com! Okay, picture this…it’s 1975 and I’m 5. My older sisters and brother are very much in the middle of their teen years with my oldest sister being 12 years older than me. Our parents are all dressed up (which was rare), and I even remember the long wool plaid skirt with black sweater turtleneck my Mom wore. My Dad had very long sideburns, and a very big buckle on his belt. They were all dressed up so they could go out and ring in the new year with their friends.
Lucky for me, I had 3 amazing baby sitters (my siblings) who were equipped to make an appetizer feast so we could all watch Dick Clark and the silver ball. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much more (ha ha), but I do remember my brother letting me sit on the kitchen counter while he prepped, and I also remember a really cool odd shaped coffee table that I would give my right arm for now-a-days. Oh, I am sure we had a blast, and I’ve always tried to make our present day New Year’s celebrations with our kiddos just as much fun. The night wouldn’t be complete without some delicious appetizers. So, I’ve rounded up 10 Fabulous New Year’s Eve Appetizer Recipes that I hope you investigate, and possibly even try.

Before I leave, I have 2 invitations for you…
First, I invite you to join my Facebook DIY Home Decorating & Cooking Group. Everyone gets to share their ideas there, and of course questions are always welcome. The group has become quite friendly and a very uplifting positive environment for all who love to decorate. Click here to request an invite.
Lastly, I invite you to follow my husband, Richard, and I along as we continue to transform our home in Michigan DIY style. We have lots of plans for 2018 including a big bathroom makeover (yikes!), and a dock reveal. I will also be adding more color to our home. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some color. Thanks for meeting me here at the fence for all of 2017. I wish you all good health, peace, & happiness.
Happy 2018!
