I miss those days. When they came home with a list of classmates and we headed to the store to carefully pick out the perfect pack of Valentines for their classes. We’ve had Hello Kitty, and Princesses. We’ve had Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Super Heroes.
It was pre-Pinterest so I never had a chance to make all of those cute homemade ideas, when they were little, but they still had so much fun choosing each one for a certain classmate.
Then, all of a sudden you turn around and they are too grown up for cute little Valentines, yet it’s still fun to take something special to classmates! My kids have always loved poppers for New Years eve, and I thought making diy poppers for Valentines Day would be a fun way to share Valentines with the “middle school” crowd. Filled with cute erasers and some candy, they should be popular with both the boys and girls alike! And as always, on Take Five Friday, each one took less than FIVE MINUTES to make!

Is there a cute saying or valentine to attach to the popper?
I feel like such an idiot right now because I’ve never thought to cut the TP roll in half…no wonder my poppers never really POP. I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time! These are so cute! I love them!
LOL Chloe!!
These are so ADORABLE!!
Great idea & something even I can do! Just one thing…How do the Poppers come apart at the center? Use thin paper that will pull/twist apart? Thanks for this extra help for “DIY Poppers For Dummies.”
