Who hates their handwriting? Am I the only one raising my hand?
No matter how hard I try I don’t think I will ever win the prettiest handwriting award, or even come in a close second or third or fourth….
Let’s just face it, I have lousy handwriting. Especially when it comes to cute chalkboard quotes and sayings, or pretty handpainted lettered signs. They never seem to turn out like I envisioned in my mind.
That’s why stickers are perfect! So uniform. So symmetrical. So full of sticker goodness. Why bother with hand lettering when you can buy a book full of beautiful stickers in every typography imaginable!
This is another fun an easy holiday project that you can finish in five minutes or as long as it takes you to place a sticker on a platter!
Here’s what you’ll need…
SUPPLIES
Letter stickers (enough to create your choice of words)
Large platters or plates to hang
Disc hangers or plate hangers
INSTRUCTIONS
Decide on what words you want to use and make sure they will fit the size platter or plate you have chosen. Measure you platter or plate to find the center both horizontally and vertically. You will want to work from the center up and down to have your word properly placed and even.
Starting in the middle create your word placing letters evenly apart but lightly applying letters
If a letter is crooked or your spacing is off gently peel off letter and reapply. Do no press letters firmly in place until you have them in their permanent positions. Once you have letters in the right location, make sure they are firmly pressed down for good adhesion. When you want to change out the words. Use a razor blade or x-acto knife to gently life off edge of sticker and peel to remove. Use windex or a small amount of dish soap to remove any residue.
Place platters or plates on wall using disk hangers or plate hangers.
There you have it! Another quick, easy and pretty addition to our five minute crafts series, that anyone can do!
Be sure to join us back here at the picket fence tomorrow for another gorgeous blogger home tour! See you then!
Yes! Great idea, Heather! Plus, I always have alphabet stickers here, too.
Thanks Kathy! So easy-peasy but a fun little holiday touch. 🙂

Super cute!!
These are so cute. I just bought a couple of platters in after-Halloween clearance sales at Target that would be perfect with some sticker words.
