When we first toured our home with our realtor, one of my most favorite discoveries was that it had an attic. A real, attic. It’s accessed through a little door in the closet of the game room and while you can’t stand completely upright throughout the entire space, there are areas where you are able to move around without getting a crick in your neck.
In the summer it is like a sauna so I avoid it at all costs, but as the days have begun to cool and the leaves have begun to change I find myself in the attic again, opening bins and pulling out decor that hasn’t seen the light of day since this time last year.
And this leads to an annual tradition I call my “Why do I have so much stuff?!” moment. Every year I try to sort through my seasonal decor and yet I have found myself wanting to pair down even more as each new holiday or season rolls around.
So, to help us in our efforts to minimize, my Thrifty Style teammates and I decided it would be so fun if we could pass along some of those seasonal goodies to YOU!
As I began to unpack my fall decor, I found these mercury glass style pumpkins and realized that I haven’t used them in a couple of years.
I know that one of YOU would love to give them a new home.
And I thought for something a little extra I would throw in a copy of my book ‘Life in Season‘.
The Autumn and Winter sections are my most favorite.
There’s just something about these months when we turn our hearts towards the comforts of home. So, we filled it with stories, crafts and recipes we think will help you welcome these seasons.
So, how fun is this? Not only do you get to enter my giveaway for these beautiful pumpkins and my book filled with inspiration for your heart and ideas for your home, today you also get to enter to win even more fun fall goodies!

I love the crispness in the air, watching the fall leaves gently flow down with each breeze, I love seeing the pumpkins and scarecrows on my neighbors porch (which reminds me to get mine out too), and I love finally getting to pull out that soft cardigan that I love for when I’m a little chilly.
Debbie Elsner says
The colors – I love the rich purples, the golds, the rust, cream accents that I can use to change the feel of the house at fall. I cover pumpkins in beautiful fabrics to match the rooms of the house!
Usually a fall bike camping trip is planned for September, so look forward to that and the official start to the colorful season of crispness in the air.
Kim Smith says
What I love most about Fall is the color! The red, orange, yellow and green leaves are gorgeous. I also love how Fall food is so comforting and candy corn and salted caramel are my favorite. But of course, I can’t forget that I also love Pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING 🙂 I love Fall!
Tamra Gibson says
My favorite thing about Fall is the leaves and scenery as it changes. To me it’s just a bright as when summer arrives and who can resist the smell of Fall. The kids are playing in the leaves and we love doing fall crafts

Smelling campfires, cooler weather. Shutting off the air conditioner and warm throws lying on the couch waiting to warm my toes.

Fall reminds me of how it must of felt when God completed the universe. It is a time for rest,
a time to slow down and enjoy the best time of the year. It’s like a splash of all the warm and
beautiful colors that we all love. Thank you God for giving us fall!
Amy C. says
I love everything about the fall season! The cooler weather, beautiful leaves, pretty decor, yummy baked goods…and the list goes on. My favorite is to decorate my home and front porch. I like buying hay bales, pumpkins and mums to make it extra special. Thanks for the giveaway!
Living on the Gulf coast, we don’t have leaves changing colors -our fall colors come with the migration of butterflies – especially monarchs. My favorite fall activity are watching the hummingbirds and butterflies in my garden. And like the leaves, the hummingbirds and butterlies are only here for a short time.
ellen clairmont says
I love the coziness of a fire, wearing a soft flannel shirt, and having a steaming bowl of delicious soup. The colors are beautiful especially when reflected on the lake we live on. After the excitement of water skiing, jet skiing and pontooning, it is so peaceful to see a lone fisherman enjoying the quiet. Life is good.
Crisp cool air after sweltering humidity! Beautiful fall colors!
Diana Mack says
I love the anticipation of Halloween! Costumes! Candy (on sale)! Decorations running the gamut from fall harvest to witches and ghouls! Pumpkins! Apples!
It’s a month long celebration and everyone is usually friendly (because it isn’t 100 degrees anymore) and watching kids just get so pumped up….its the best
As always you and this fabulous group are wonderful and make my home sparkle. Thank you so much and God Bless
Since I love almost everything about fall it’s hard to say what is my favorite thing. But when I think about it two things really come to mind. First is falling leaves —That wonderful sensation you feel when you are walking in your yard or driving in your car and the wind blows and suddenly you’re surrounded by hundreds of golden falling leaves. Ahh, heaven!
The second thing that is wonderful about fall to me is that “my groups” start up again. Both my book club and my garden club suspend meetings over the summer, and there are many friends I don’t see until things start up again in September. Since I live on a farm, fall is the time that brings friends and fellowship back into focus!
I love watching the leaves change colors. Just being able to be outside and enjoy feeling the sun on my face and getting things done outside!
I love watching the leaves change color, not a fan of raking them!
Sally Christiansen says
I love the cooler temps and we always go on vacation in fall!
I am a summer baby. I am not a fan of Fall. That being said, hot chocolate and Thanksgiving and apple cider are my fall favorites.
Jeannie Wallace says
I love different things in the fall than I used to. Since I lost my legs I cant do what we used to like jumping in the leaves or swinging in the tireswing. Now I take tons of pictures to make albums and scrapbooks for each of the kids. I enjoy the aromas of the fall breeze and all the blazing colors of the foliage. Thank you for the opportunity to win this fall collection, especially your book. I would do anything for that book, so if I dont win it, can I buy it??
I love Fall because my kids come in twice as often for TCU football games. More Grandbaby time!!! Yippee
Marilyn Parigian says
There is a subtle change in the air this morning as well as a few renegade red leaves on the trees. Fall is surely on the way. Having been diagnosed with cancer this year, each day is a gift that is especially precious. Looking forward to the glories of autumn as well as yet another birthday in November. Blessings!
Cecilia Harrington says

I love the crisp air, the leaves changing color, and the promise of spending time with my family.
What I enjoy most about fall is almost endless. I love the quiet and peacefulness in the air. The abundance of smells of fall spices, fresh apples and pumpkin, and falling leaves. My favorite thing about fall is the coziness that the season brings. With the cooler temps, changing leaves, bon fires, and your able to wear wonderfully warm sweaters again. Also, the beautiful jewel tones of the leaves are just breathtaking. These are the things that I miss so much !! We had to move down south (very far south) for my husbands job. There is no fall down here. The leaves just dry up and die, no beautiful colors and its still 89 degrees. Its very sad. But, I can still decorate for fall !

I think that one of the things I like most about Fall is the colors when the leaves begin to turn and the other thing is the smell–I can’t really describe it–of the leaves as you walk through them. One reason I love fall is because it means cooler temps, hopefully. I live in central Florida and our summers are hot!! But there are other reasons, too. I used to love getting the kids costumes ready for Halloween. I love a good bon fire and just the coziness of the season. Then we get to cap off this beautiful season with Thanksgiving!! Fall always brings a lot of opportunities for larger get togethers. The weather in Georgia during late summer makes outdoor events difficult. Our family has over the last 5-6 years hosted a large BBQ with family, friends, and neighbors. The crisp fall weather allows us to enjoy a full day of food, friendship, games, and great memories.
I love the the coolness of autumn mornings as I go back from drinking iced coffee to drinking hot pumpkin spice coffee and wearing a light jacket or sweater. The warm sunshine during the afternoons and the cool crisp autumn nights when I no longer need the a/c but can open up a window and snuggle up under a warm quilt.
I love the decorations of fall with all its bright and warm cools all of blaze from the leaves on the trees to the pumpkins on the porches, grocery stores and garden centers and corn stocks with scare crows.
I go from hardly cooking and light meals to baking and roasting meals.
Everything “pumpkin spice”, apple picking and making apple and pumpkin recipes and going on hayrides and to bonfires.
I love the fall y’all.
