The discovery of these monograms on the website of our Sponsor
did not help the downward spiral into a serious love affair with all things monogrammed.
You may recall this little table I transformed for my daughter’s room to which I could not resist adding this giant ‘L’ for my sweet Lauren.
Since then, the great
“Moving around of the Princess’ room to make way for a Big Girl Bed” has provided me with one more opportunity to spread some Monogram Love.
This is how her room looked Before:
I’m so excited about the way her room is coming together

It looks wonderful surrounded by the plates! Not saying for one minute it doesn’t look perfect as it is, but adding one word to each plate describing your little girl would be lovely! Please don’t be offended thinking I’m telling you how to ‘finish’ your already superb work, it just popped into my head!
I just posted about ‘mammograms’, so when I first read your post title I read “I love mammograms”! Crazy…
But, I love how your monogram turned out! Beautiful! It was such a pretty room to begin with, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what you come up with next! So far your off to a great start!
Vanessa,
Love the monogram and the plates are the perfect compliment! I just love this sweet room!
Warm Wishes,
Jodie
I love the monogram – it was the perfect thing for that space. I have “issues” with big, blank spaces above pics / furniture so I think it is perfect! And, the plates are darling! I love how sweet it all looks and I look forward to seeing the “finished” room! Also, what a wonderful idea for the Tuscaloosa baby shower – I definately want to be involved in that 🙂 I will go to that post and read for further details!
I wish I could do something like that in Maggie’s room but it is floor to ceiling PRINCESSES! 🙂 Looks beautiful! 🙂
We Southern girls love our monograms!!! I love the display above the dresser. I have a similar dresser in my guest room and now I am totally going to be on the lookout for some plates so I can do this!
I love monograms as well. Yours looks perfect in your daughter’s room. So sweet surrounded by the plates. Can’t wait to see the rest of her room. BTW beautiful dresser as well.
“L” is for Lovely!!!
I love monograms too! Especially on men’s shirt cuffs! I love what you did with the L…It is LOVELY, and I LOVE it. I really LIKE how you surrounded it with the plates. What a special touch…and I LOVE the peek at your LURKING around the corner! xxoo Diana
Lauren is a lucky little lady! 🙂
Even before I scrolled down after seeing your monogram, I said to myself’ “Vanessa needs to add plates around this.” woo hoo- I scroll down and there are plates surrounding the vinyl! Looks good- really filled the space! I have a monogram on my leaner mirror- it made it pop! ~ Sue
So adorable!!! I love that monogram, I NEED one for my little girl. 🙂
Love how you added the plates too. Super cute!
Her room looks so sweet and pretty Vanessa, you are doing such a wonderful job! I love the monograms and there is nothing wrong with wanting to teach your little ones how to read. 🙂
Your little girl will wake up eac morning with a sunny disposition in such a pretty yellow bedroom.
Your use of monograms and plates is beautifully done.
I love monograms too! Thanks for the info about The Simple Stencil. The monogram you chose looks wonderful!
Yvonne
Love monograms! What a precious room, you’ve done an amazing job…love it!!!
I think it looks just plain perfect. I’m a huge monogram lover. As to preppy? I don’t bother to keep it a secret. I came of age in the 80s after all.
And you made me giggle peeking out from the corner. That’s as funny as the camera hand taking pictures in your bathroom.
Love it!!!
I would love for you to come link up your post at my “Encouragement is Contagious!” linky party! And… please link up some of your other favorites from blogs you love! Then, those bloggers will also get lots of unexpected, encouraging comments!
Blessings!
