How often do we find ourselves wanting to host a fun summer party, but we are intimidated by the cost and the preparation?!
I love to gather friends and family together on warm summer afternoons and evenings, but I don’t like the idea of spending all day preparing food and drinks and a lot of money on decorating.
Summer gatherings do NOT have to be expensive or time consuming!
Why not let your food and beverages set the tone for your party color scheme! Use large galvanized buckets to cool down and hold your beverages. You can have one for the kids and one for the adults. I like to fill the grown up bucket with Seagram’s Escapes in all of the new summery flavors and the colors match perfectly with a patriotic theme! Some of my favorites are Strawberry Daiquri, Sangria and Calypso Colada! They not only taste amazing but their bright and fun colors pair perfect with a red white and blue theme. Freeze some easy to serve, and ready to drink, Seagram’s Escapes Frozen Flavorsand toss in the bucket for an extra special treat and you’ll avoid manning the blender all evening! Perfect for family friendly events, but huge in taste!
Decorating can be as simple as pairing plain white dishes and napkins with colored plastic ware and strips of scrap paper as napkin rings to tie them all together.
Use some fun paper lanterns in matching colors that can be picked up in the dollar section at craft stores. Matching paper straws are not only useful but tie into the color scheme.
One of the most frugal and fun ways to decorate your table for the holidays is using recycled bottles! The options are endless with the myriad of paint colors and craft supplies available.
I chose a classic patriotic “red, white and blue” color scheme for my recycled bottle centerpiece!
This little centerpiece project couldn’t be easier to make, and with some empty Seagram’s bottles at my disposal, I was able to whip this up for my patriotic tablescape in no time!
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
empty glass bottles (remove labels and wash in sudsy water. let dry) dual primer and spray paint (this provides best coverage) embellishments for your bottles (stickers, twine, washi tape, etc.) Items to place in your bottles A stand for your centerpiece (I made one out of a patriotic plate and bowl)
Directions:
Wash and Dry Bottles. Allow to dry completely inside and out. Using several light coats spray bottles until thoroughly covered. Once bottles are completely dried, embellish them with stickers, twine and washi tape in fun designs and patterns. Place on diy plate stand and add your finishing touches for a fun summer centerpiece!
Entertaining for the summer doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult when you use recycled materials, fun themed accessories and serve Seagram’s Escapes Frozen Drinks and Coolers!

I love these ideas — simple and low cost but with a big impact. The bottles are very cute as is the stand made from the plates and bowls!

Really cute ideas! I have problems with spray paint running when I try bottles or cans. I love the way the white looks! I don’t see the Seagrams in our area.
What great and festive ideas for a little patriotic decor! Thank you for sharing them!
Great Ideas! Your re-purposed bottles are awesome! I have also found that filling bottles with icicle Christmas lights makes for an interesting lamp at a party.
