Pumpkin Week continues today with this scrumptious recipe!
Have you ever noticed how we tend to use words like “heavenly” and “divine” to describe delectable treats? I’m thinking it must have something to do with the other-worldly effect they have on us. Or maybe I’m the only one who finds herself closing her eyes and hearing the “Hallelujah Chorus” when she takes a bite of a sweet treat.
Please tell me I’m not the only one!
Whether or not you will actually hear angels singing, I can guarantee that these will be as much of a hit at your home as they were at mine!
Now, I may not live in the South, but I still eagerly await my
Southern Living Magazine each month.
And as soon as I saw these Sticky-Bun Pumpkin Muffins in the October Issue, I knew that they would be making an appearance at our house.
An opportunity quickly presented itself when I invited the moms of 2 new students in my son’s 2nd grade class over for coffee one morning. He attends a wonderful small private school and while it is so great to be apart of such a close-knit community, I think it is hard for both the kids and the parents to come in and be the “new ones”.
I can tell you that these should be called “friendship making sticky-buns” because those 2 lovely ladies immediately asked for the recipe after they tried them!

I spoke this past weekend in our Community Group at church about what Hospitality really means.
And among the things I shared was my belief that Hospitality has less to do with our homes and much more to do with our hearts.
It was a simple thing to invite these moms over for coffee. And, of course, it gave me an excuse to try out a yummy new recipe! But, the reality is that the simple act of extending yourself to others can open up the possibility for lasting friendship.
Or maybe it might just help someone feel a little bit more like they “belong”.
How can you extend Hospitality to someone this week?
Making these Sticky-Bun Pumpkin Muffins might just be a good place to start!
Thanks so much for joining me today at the Fence,
You are SUCH a naughty girl! I would be weighing another ton if I polished off a plate of those! They DOOO look delicious though! What a nice thing to do for the 2 Moms! xo Diana
Wow, that looks delicious!
Wow! That looks so tasty! You are not the only one who hears hallelujah chorus. When I take a bit of my fav desserts, I even sing with it! lol

Those look REALLY good….We have two teenagers who will be going on a cleanse so I will have to make these for them after a couple of weeks off of it…. Wouldn’t want to shock their systems.. : ) they both LOVE pumpkin anything…So these will make a great treat…
vanessa, i am totally making these yummy beauties today!

rebecca
I need to try those and how nice of you to invite them over. I am sure they appreciated it. I am too shy to get up in front of people and speak.
Oh my yum!
Those look so good, and what an inspiration you are. Showing hospitality will be on my mind, I will look for an opportunity. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
Debbie
You’re absolutely right! Those would make a great treat to offer others. I have that magazine. Maybe I’ll try it out.
They do look “divine!” Pecans make anything wonderful. My subscription to Southern Living ran out a few months ago and I do miss it. I’ll have to do something about that. Have a really good rest of the week!
LORD.HAVE.MERCY!
I am drooling! I would have loved to hear your hospitality talk. Why not post it?
Vanessa, these look amazing! My mouth is watering! Somehow sticky buns just aren’t fitting into my ‘no carb’ diet right now! It is crummy that at 41, I can’t eat like a spring chicken anymore! However, these will go on the ‘to do’ cook list! Hope you are well! Christie
These look good and I like that they are single serving. Thanks for sharing.
Food is such a great way to reach out to someone. I can definitely see why you would use “heavenly” to describe these! They look delicious!!
Oh MY! Those look delightfully yummy!
