It’s time for another Take Five: Five Minute Craft!
One of the most frugal and fun ways to decorate your table for the summer holidays is using recycled bottles! The options are endless with the myriad of paint colors and craft supplies available.
I chose a classic patriotic “red, white and blue” color scheme for my recycled bottle centerpiece!
This little centerpiece project couldn’t be easier to make, I was able to whip this up for a patriotic tablescape in no time!
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
empty glass bottles (remove labels and wash in sudsy water. let dry) dual primer and spray paint (this provides best coverage) embellishments for your bottles (stickers, twine, washi tape, etc.) Items to place in your bottles A stand for your centerpiece (I made one out of a patriotic plate and bowl)
Directions:
Wash and Dry Bottles. Allow to dry completely inside and out. Using several light coats spray bottles until thoroughly covered. Once bottles are completely dried, embellish them with stickers, twine and washi tape in fun designs and patterns. Place on diy plate stand and add your finishing touches for a fun summer centerpiece!

This is so much fun Heather! I love the stand idea too. Pinned! xo
I have several soda bottles and didn’t know what to do with them, now I do. and I love the patriotic theme! Thank you for the idea 🙂
Girls….I am just so inspired by your creativity, your collages and DIY posts. How long does it take for you to design, photograph, write and edit a post like this? It would take me several days for sure!
You’ve just inspired me to get cranking with some crafts for our Memorial Day celebration here at our club house!

Such a cute idea! And pretty easy, too…my kind of craft!
What a clever way to up-cycle your used bottles into instant party decor. Thanks for the share!
