Coffee. I love it so. In fact, I had fully intended on sharing a coffee quote in this blog post but there were 1,585,763 of them on Pinterest and I couldn’t narrow it down to just one that perfectly captured how I feel about this delicious, dark nectar.
So, instead, I suppose I will show you how I dedicated a little section of my kitchen to the cup of joy and gladness that is pretty much the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning….and what I look forward to having as a treat in the afternoon….and sometimes in the evening…and basically now I’m admitting that my life pretty much revolves around coffee.
When we first toured our home I was just a tiny bit excited to spy an appliance garage. It was one of those things that I honestly would never have thought about having in a kitchen but was nonetheless delighted to discover its existence.
But after a few years of using it according to its intended function, I decided that it really could be so much more.
It really could be a special home sweet home for my favorite beverage.
It could be a coffee station!
I decided to have a little bit of fun with it and painted the inside walls with chalkboard paint.
A basket tray holds all of the necessities.
And a pretty little silver scooper makes the coffee making ritual even more delightful.
My cup really does ‘runneth’ over these days. Not because everything is perfect or tidy or because I have it all together. Because it really isn’t and I really don’t.
My cup ‘runneth’ over these days because more than ever I feel grateful for this life. Grateful for what God is doing. Grateful for my precious family.
Grateful for sweet, simple moments.
Like the first sip of coffee in the morning.
Thank you so much for meeting me at the Fence today my friends,
Good Morning!
What a fantastic idea, Vanessa.
Love it,going to do it, thank you.
I would also like to know where I could get one of the silver coffee measuring spoons, it’s adorable and just adds that little bit of finesse.
Thanks again for sharing your inspirations…
I love this idea, Vanessa! I don’t have a nifty appliance garage to utilize, but still appreciate the “spirit” of your coffee station. Super cute.
Thanks friend! 🙂
Really pretty and sweet. I love my morning tea so much, too! (I get it.)
Thank you Lisa! 🙂
Can you believe I don’t drink coffee? I LOVE the smell, but the taste just doesn’t work for me. I know that a little coffee can be a good thing for you. I really wish I could learn to drink it! Your coffee station is wonderful!
P.S. I do keep a coffee pot on hand for family and friends!
The smell of coffee is definitely one of my favorites! Thanks so much for coming by today Vicki. 🙂
Awesome idea and I love the scooper!!
Thank you so much Jeanie!
What an adorable coffee station. I began drinking coffee to keep warm on the playground when I taught school. I had the reputation of being a coffee drinking fanatic. Interestingly, I drink very little now because my stomach cannot tolerate it as much. Here’s my favorite coffee quote. I purchased a cup at Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, with this quote, “coffee, the favorite drink of the civilized world. ” President Jefferson’s handwriting is used for the quote.
Oh I think I need a coffee cup with that quote on it in my life too Anita! Cheers from one coffee fanatic to another! 😉
Vanessa, what a great idea to turn the appliance garage into a coffee station! Love this idea! I would never have thought of doing this! I even have plugs in my appliance garage which now houses my Kitchen Aid Mixer and the toaster! Think I’m going to do some switching around tomorrow!
Oh I’m so glad it gave you some inspiration Mary-Ann! 🙂
I have a love affair with coffee too and love your coffee station in the appliance garage!…Great idea!
