There is a certain satisfaction in getting to the point in your home decorating journey where you look around and see very little you’d change. I’m finding myself very rarely purchasing new items for our house these days as I make strides to purge the excess stuff in my life.
But, lately, I’ve realized that there are a few nooks and crannies that could use a bit of a refresh.
When I FINALLY cleared off the hot cocoa station, I decided to take everything off of the console table including the items that have been on the lower shelves for a very long time. And, with all of the accessories gone, it allowed me to see the table with fresh eyes and do some much needed rearranging.
A beautiful, rustic vase filled with faux eucalyptus adds height and texture.
A simple stack of books with a mercury class box on top provides some sparkle and a cloche with moss balls inside completes the decor on top.
I then moved around some of the accessories that had been in different spots on the shelves and added two baskets on the bottom to really help anchor the space.
Once I got everything tweaked to just my satisfaction, it dawned on me how much of a rut I had been stuck in with this table and how I hadn’t even realized it at the time.
Whether it’s our homes our our hearts, being content with our current circumstances is vital to experiencing peace.
But, it’s always good to leave room for improvement and change now and then, right?
Love the update using items in your home!!! It’s amazing how a little adjustment to a console table can change a space. By the way, I love that table. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Love the arrangement of your console table. It’s especially perfect for early spring.
