*I’m so excited to be revealing my new door from Window World today!*
Well my friends, never did I think that the thing which would delay my revealing our new back door to you would be the seemingly endless snow and ice that hit us here in the Pacific Northwest all throughout this past month. I mean, we enjoyed it…mostly. But after the umpteenth snow day and a general sense of never actually getting back into our routine after Christmas I am more than ready to have my kiddos finally back in school every day of the week and life returning to normal…even though things never are too normal around here.
Before I reveal my new door, let’s take a look back at the old one.
Over 20 years old and definitely starting to show it’s age, this sad door was more than ready for us to bid it farewell.
And now, here is our beautiful new door from Window World!
Isn’t she pretty? This door is from the Fiber Classic Oak series with an English Walnut finish.
We love having some natural light coming into the garage so we opted to have the top half of the door in glass but added the panes in the Prairie style.
The two panels on the bottom add lovely detail to the door and what was once a very blah and bland part of the exterior of our home is now a beautiful accent.
We were so incredibly impressed with how smoothly and how quickly the installation process was especially considering the fact that our door frame had to be replaced and repair work had to be done.
And knowing that this door is made with a solid polyurethane foam core which has four times the insulating value of wood but won’t dent like steel would, we know that we will never have to replace it again.
So, what do you think of our choice? We honestly couldn’t be happier with it and we want to give a HUGE shout-out to incredible folks at Window World Portland for making this process as easy as possible.
