Just Make One!
This painting hangs on the wall behind my daughter’s bed.
My very talented father-in-law painted this as a gift to Lauren when she was born. I consider him a true Renaissance Man!
It obviously needed more so we began with molding and used this handy-dandy tool…
$12 at Lowes can buy your hubby a lifetime of projects!
So, we framed it out and it looked like this…
Better, and similar to what we did in our son’s room. But being that this is a little girl’s room, I thought it needed something more!
Then, I found this…
Tucked into a back corner at “Aunt Bee’s“, it was the perfect thing to bring in some character! One long shutter that we promptly cut into 2 and it only cost me $15! Next I attached a large picture hanging bracket.
I hung one shutter on either side of the molding and suddenly, we had ourselves another window!
Now, that’s a Good Idea…don’t you think?
That’s a great idea and what an elegant bedroom your daughter has.
Its an amazing idea! I love the way it looks!
What a great idea. Very clever. I think I remember seeing this when I read through your entire Southern in my Heart blog when I first found it. Thanks so much for linking up to my party. I really appreciate it.
