It’s that time of the year again. When red, white and blue take center stage and we completely ignore the fact that the craft stores already have Christmas items on the shelves.
Because, we don’t want to rush through this season, do we? No way! This is the time when we celebrate longer days, warmer air and bare feet. And, more importantly, this is the season when we celebrate our great country and what a privilege it is to live here.
So, we’ve put together some perfectly patriotic inspiration to help you kick of this season in style!
Patriotic Ideas & Projects
Let’s start at the front door with Ann of On Sutton Place.
Ann is a master of the wreath as you can see. Her front door and porch welcome visitors & the season while decked out in tasteful red, white & blue.
Inside you can add an all American favorite the Mason jar! Not just regular Mason jars, but American Flag jars by Rachel of Maison de Pax.
This trio can be front & center in your home all season long.
Having guests for a summer dinner party? Set the table like Shirley of Housepitality Designs.
Love how Shirley incorporated sunflowers & that everyone got a goodie box!
How about for dessert something that goes hand in hand with America the beautiful – Apple Pie.
Apple Hand Pies to be exact. The best part about these is that they can be carried outside to the watch the fireworks!
Party a success & friends decide to stay the night? Don’t be caught with your flags down – have your guest room decked out in patriotic flair like Kim of Savvy Southern Style!
Aren’t the flags in the ironstone pitcher simply perfect? This is something you could do way ahead of time, unlike flowers.
Not hosting, but being hosted? Whip up a few webbing wine bags by Kelly of My Soulful Home. That way, you’ll have a hostess gift at the ready for all your summer socializing.
Not wine drinkers? Add a bottle of estate olive oil or aged balsamic vinegar. Always a welcome gift.

So how are you going to be spending Memorial Day weekend? We hope it involves remembering those who have sacrificed for our freedom and that you will enjoy time with your family and friends!
These are great ideas for July 4. Love the wreath.
Lots of great inspiration here today and I am going to make your wonderful hand pies!
Happy Memorial Day Vanessa….we will be spending it at home and going to a Memorial Day Service in our neighborhood honoring those who have sacrificed their lives for us to enjoy our precious freedoms. Among those we will be honoring are the sons of some of our neighbors. We have a wonderful flag pole and memorial area in our neighborhood to honor them.
So many cute ideas. I love this season and leave my patriotic decor up from now through the Fourth of July. Thanks for putting these together!
