Tucked high up in the closet of our office is a row of black binders. In those black binders are plastic sleeves filled with torn out pictures. Pictures of beautiful rooms, lovely table settings, kitchen inspiration and every kind of window treatment you could imagine.
In the days before Pinterest, those black binders were my go-to resource for all things home decorating. Each page carefully torn out of a magazine and then tucked inside a protective sleeve to preserve it so that I could refer to it again and again.
Nowadays, the black binders just seem to be collecting dust. But I can’t seem to get rid of them. You see, as much as I love Pinterest and all of the other home decor websites, there is nothing quite like the feel of flipping through page after beautiful page. Actual pages. Pages of paper, not ones you have to click on or scroll through.
So, you can imagine my joy when I discovered that my friend Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse created a black binder of French goodness just for me!!
Ok, so technically it’s not a black binder and technically it’s for everyone and not just for me but I could swear that Anita knew exactly what photos I would slip into the plastic sleeves of my dream French decorating binder when she wrote this incredible book.
French Accents is not only a visual delight but it’s also chock full of Anita’s wonderful tips and tricks that could truly be applied to any decorating style but are particularly meaningful to those of us who love a bit of European flair.
I’ve flipped through these pages over and over again, like I used to do with my black binders, just soaking up the details and finding new ways to approach areas in my own home. The tools Anita provides truly do transcend decorating styles as she advises on how to approach everything from choosing furniture to how to shop for items which will enhance your existing decor.
It’s obvious from the very beginning to the very end that Anita has poured her heart and soul onto these pages and that she loves nothing more than sharing them with the reader.
Click here to order your copy of French Accents and discover for yourself beauty that lies within it’s pages.
I promise you it’s WAYYYY better than a black binder! 😉
I love your style!
Anita wrote a fabulous book!….A book for everyone, not just for Francophiles, that everyone can benefit from and enjoy!
Oh my goodness, so beautiful! Right up my alley.
I met Anita and her husband last week at Marburger Farms (Rountop) Flea Market. They had a table set up selling the book. It’s really beautiful. And they are both so nice. Gorgeous photography.
This book is on my Christmas list.
