*We apologize for the technical difficulties we experienced yesterday that caused our site to be down but thank you for bearing with us and we hope you enjoy this post today*
Hello and welcome friends!! I’m so thrilled that you are joining me on a little tour of my home today all dressed up for my most favorite season. Here in Oregon (did you know that I live in Oregon?) there are signs of Autumn popping up all around me even though as I type this the temperature today will be in the 80’s. Yes, Oregon gets sunshine. It’s our best kept secret!
WELCOME to Georgia y’all!! Where the weather’s HOT and the tea is SWEET! I’m so honored to be following my friend Rhoda, of Southern Hospitality on the 2014 Blogger Summer Home Tour; hosted by my fabulous and talented friend Gina, of Shabby Creek Cottage! Be sure to pay her a visit to start at the beginning of this amazing tour of blogger homes!
Flip, flop. Flip, flop. Flip, flop.
Don’t you love it when a word so perfectly describes the sound it makes?
And nothing says summer quite like the sound of flip flops.
In fact, I was tempted to just scatter flip flops all around my house and say, “There. Consider my summer decorating DONE!”
But, don’t believe for a second that I’m not wearing flip-flops while you’re reading this!
In fact, why don’t you go put on yours and we can just flip-flop our way through this tour together! If you’re just coming over from Nesting Place I want to welcome you to At the Picket Fence and to my home here in the beautiful Willamette Valley, Oregon.
It’s one thing to be the prettiest home on the block…it’s another to be the prettiest and the smartest!
I was so excited when I was recently invited up to the fabulous city of Nashville, for a blogger sneak peek tour the newest HGTV HOME and this one is a “smarty pants!”
A fully furnished English-cottage design, built by Carbine and Associates and located in Duncanwood Reserve in the desirable Green Hills area of Nashville, TN; this home features some of the most high-tech amenities and eco-friendly materials out there!
Happy Saturday! Are you all snuggled in with your cup of coffee or tea and ready for another beautiful home tour? We’re continuing our At the Picket Fence Parade of Homes Series and today we are thrilled to welcome our friend Pamela from the blog From My Front Porch to Yours.
We have been friends with Pamela for several years now and the way she tackles each project in her home with complete gusto always inspires and motivates us! We know you will enjoy getting to know her better and taking the tour of her beautiful home. Take it away Pamela!
We are so excited to have the lovely Anne of White Lace Cottage here with us today, giving our picket fence friends a tour of her beautiful “shabby chic” cottage!
Heather had the privilege of meeting Anne last year and she is every bit as lovely and kind in real life as she is on her blog! Come take a room by room tour of White Lace Cottage with us….
So thrilled to be a part of At The Picket Fence parade of homes! Thank you so much Heather and Vanessa for inviting me.
Hi I am Anne from White Lace Cottage, welcome to our home. We have been in our home for almost 8 years now and I have made many changes over the past three years. When you have a home you know how it is, a process to make your house a home.
I told my husband the other day that my whole goal in getting dressed each day was to wear clothing that feel like I have on sweats but that don’t actually look like sweats.
Don’t get me wrong, the minute I get home I’m eagerly pulling on those glorious elastic waistband pants (come to mama!) and an over-sized sweatshirt that gives a detailed map of all of the paint colors I have ever encountered.
But, I’ve decided that when I’m out in public (for the most part!) I’m going to attempt to wear what would be considered non-work-out wear.
That doesn’t mean it can’t be soft and comfortable though!
And when it comes to decorating my house for winter, I’m taking the same approach.
I want my home to look like it has on ‘real’ clothes but feel like my favorite warm and comfy sweats…minus the paint stains of course!
It’s time for another Deck the Halls Holiday Housewalk! I am so honored to be here for a second year in a row among such amazingly talented bloggers. I love getting to see everyone’s homes decked out for the holidays…real homes!
To see all 30 houses from the beginning be sure to start at our lovely hostesses house, Jennifer Rizzo, and take a stroll through these amazing homes!
Today is Day Four of the housewalk, if you head over to Jen’s you can see all of today’s homes….
Do you want to know something? Virtual Christmas tours for girls who LOVE having people over are very hard. If you were to come knocking on my door I would invite you in, hand you a cup of coffee (or tea or cider or eggnog) in my favorite Christmas mugs and we would plunk ourselves down and have a good long chat.
I would ask you about your family and how your shopping was going and where you will be spending Christmas this year. We would laugh together about the cute way our kids spelled out the words on their Christmas lists. And we would savor the pause in this busy time of year to just enjoy the simple pleasure of spending time with friends.
