I’m excited to be sharing some before and afters of our new home today with our beautiful new Shaw Epic Plus floors! Even our Zoe thinks they are fabulous!
You might remember my last flooring choice of Grant Grove Mixed Width in Bearpaw, which I still love as a classic flooring choice but this time I decided to move out of my comfort zone and go with Shaw Floors brand new Epic Plus Extreme Nature line! With planks at over 9 inches wide and up to 86 inches long Extreme Nature is a bold and exciting new flooring choice!
After my great friends at Kemp’s Dalton West Flooring brought over several samples for me too look at, I landed on the very durable Monument Hand Scraped Hickory in Canyonlands. I love the color because let’s be real, with a house in the woods it’s great having floors that not only can handle wear and tear but also hide the leaves and dirt that inevitably get tracked in.
Kemp’s Dalton West did an amazing job tearing out and installing the new floors! Because of the size and length of the Extreme Nature planks the installers said it took them much less time to install which was great for us since we moved in three days before Thanksgiving! We love to live on the edge around here. grin! I’m excited to share with you several before and after photos so you can see how great the new flooring looks in our new home!

We love the color variations in the wood! It changes depending on the lighting and the time of day. The hand scraped finish shows off the natural grain variations of the hickory. Extreme Nature also comes in maple and walnut for a more subtle look.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this small tour of our new home and my beautiful new floors! Let me know if you have any questions about them or about my stairway makeover with Shaw Floor’s Lifeguard carpeting!
I am compensated for my partnership with Shaw Floors but all opinions are 100% my own.
Beautiful floors and new home!
What was wrong with the other wood floors? I understand the tile and carpet?
Oh love love this flooring … I would love if our rent man would change these dark wood floors Note right now my husband is in – home – hospice so would not be able to take smells or the dust Thank you for sharing and have a blessed week
What a beautiful transformation! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful! I love the wide planks. The color is perfect with your decor! I can’t wait to see more. Congratulations on your new home. How exciting!
Very pretty but it would have been hard for me to just tear out beautiful wood floors.
Heather, your new floors are just beautiful! Love what you have done in your gorgeous new home! Enjoy! Blessings!
Love it. Wish I didn’t have high gloss hardwood…we live on a farm and it’s a nightmare keeping them decent (I gave up on great looking).
We are looking at this exact flooring and I am wondering how well they have held up since you had them installed?
